Having bought a circular saw, I tried to make a longitudinal cut on the tabletop and realized that it is impossible to make a perfectly straight cut without a guide. So I thought and thought and came up with an idea of how to make a guide for a circular saw with your own hands quickly, simply and as cheaply as possible. The guide turned out to be excellent, it is convenient and fast to work with. Of course, I made several mistakes, I have described them in detail. And, given my experience, you can easily make an ideal guide rail for your workshop. UPD: The perpendicular stop should be made 10 centimeters longer, otherwise, holding a short block with your hand, your hand interferes with the free movement of the saw motor. It turns out that the sole line may not be parallel to the disk. I noticed some saw drift during a long cut, but I thought that my crooked hands were to blame. Having secured the saw in the table and set the sole parallel to the stop, on long cuts I noticed that the material moves away from the stop, i.e. it is shifted by a non-parallel disk. Well... Check this point in advance, I can still align it in the table, but precise work with the tire is no longer possible.
