GUIDE AND HOW TO PLANTING CORN FROM THE BEGINNING TO HARVESTING 7.68 TONS PER HECTARE To carry out the corn cultivation process, there are several steps that must be taken, including: 1. Planting Process The planting process begins by making planting holes in the prepared ridges as deep as 5 cm and providing a distance between holes of 20 - 25 cm, then the corn seeds are inserted into the holes. In each hole, 1 - 2 corn seeds can be given with a planting distance between rows of about 70 cm. 4. Fertilization and pest and disease control In order for corn to grow and develop optimally, the maintenance process must be carried out properly and correctly. The maintenance process includes the provision of urea and phonska fertilizers, weed control, and control of pests and diseases. 5. Harvesting Process In general, corn plants can be harvested from the age of 105 days depending on the variety. The characteristics of corn ready for harvest include 80 percent of the leaves are dry, the skin or corn husks are also dry, the corn fruit is dense and hard, and the color of the corn fruit looks clear or shiny.
