Border Jaeger battalion six was formed from the Pielisjärvi (Lieksa) and Kuhmo Border Guard companies in the fall of 1941. The border guards were moved to Vilkojärvi south of Rukajärvi in November, and to the Ontajärvi area in spring 1942. During the Continuation War, no fixed defensive fortifications were built in the wilderness areas of Ontajärvi and Seesjärvi, their defense was mainly based on field guard stations. Because of this, in the years of the Continuation War, the area became a gateway for long-distance patrol trips by guerrillas and partisans. In the summer of 1944, the border guards were transferred to the defense of Nuokkijärvi, Kiimasjärvi and Kontok areas. In this video I tell about a few trips of guerillas and partisans in the Ontajärvi and Rukajärvi areas. I have processed the photos in the video into color images with image processing programs. #ontajärvi #Rukajärvi #Pälgäjärvi #Jolmajärvi #Korpilahti #Tiiksa #repola #Seesjärvi #Vilkojärvi #Partisaanit #Sissit #Koukopatiomiehet #
