The Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park is pleased to present the documentary “Guardian Dogs in the Casentinesi Forest Park” developed within the project of the same name. Guardian dogs are a traditional and effective tool for protecting livestock from predator attacks. A tradition that has never been lost in Italy, especially in those areas where the presence of wolves has always been constant. Today this tradition finds support and backing thanks to the joint actions of the Park, the Cappellino Foundation and the Difesattiva association and which, for over four years now, have collaborated to allow the coexistence between livestock activities and wolves, in a vision of economic development and conservation.
