Technology of growing Shiitake mushrooms. Business in the village. This technology was invented in 1940. Shiitake is grown on logs of deciduous trees - birch, linden, alder. Shiitake does not grow on coniferous trees. The logs are about 1 meter long. First, holes are drilled in the wood with a drill. Mycelium is populated there. It is produced in laboratories, since complete sterility is required. But you can grow mycelium yourself. To do this, you need to have a mushroom. Wheat or oats are boiled for about two hours, pieces of mushrooms are placed in the grain, and mycelium grows on this nutrient medium. The difficulty is that the technology of growing mycelium requires sterility. Therefore, it is bought ready-made. The mycelium is populated, the hole is hermetically sealed with paraffin. Then the mycelium multiplies in the log for 2 years. The log is hard. They are stacked in a woodpile, preferably damp. And since there is little moisture, after two years the log is well soaked in a pond for one day. It is laid out in the shade of trees. Watered from a sprinkler and in a week the mushrooms grow. This is done three times during the summer from July to October. And three harvests are collected during the summer season. Within three years, you can collect from 6 to 9 harvests of mushrooms. After that, the log turns into dust and goes to compost. Everything is difficult, labor-intensive. But there is something to surprise tourists with. There is a faster way - shiitake is grown on sawdust. Sawdust is populated with mycelium much faster. In this farm, almost all the mushrooms grown are eaten or taken away by tourists. The farm is included in the register of rural tourism facilities, and television has made it good advertising, because shiitake mushrooms are rare, and who does not like sensations? The benefit of shiitake is that they strengthen the immune system and remove radiation from the body. Which is important in the treatment of oncology. Also, shiitake is not attacked by worms and does not require cleaning from debris, they are clean in themselves. The difficulty of growing this way, I see, is that for a mushroom plantation you need to have a suitable area in the shade of trees, where the grass does not grow. Otherwise, you will have to fight with weeds. If you liked the video - press the thumb up, and if not - press the dislike. There was a question - write in the comments, I will answer it.
