( ̄▽ ̄)b Gwaneumjuk (觀音竹, Broadleaf Lady Palm, rhapis excelsa palm ) is a palm plant in the genus Rhapis excelsa (how to grow Rhapis excelsa care ). It is native to Korea, Japan, southern China, and Taiwan and is an easy plant to grow. It grows slowly and its growth temperature is 16~22°C and its winter temperature is around 5°C. It requires 40~70% humidity, likes neutral to acidic soil, and we recommend planting it in well-drained sandy soil or potting soil. The general flowering period of Guanyin Bamboo is June (may vary depending on the indoor or environmental conditions), and it blooms corn-like grain flowers in clusters. Its light requirement (Guanyin Bamboo sunlight) is moderate (300~10,000 Lux), so it grows well both indoors and outdoors. It is a plant that can grow well anywhere from a slightly dark indoor place (3~5m from the window) to the balcony window side. Watering is sufficient when the surface soil is dry from spring to fall, and water when the soil in the pot is dry in winter. Replanting Kwan-eum bamboo is done once every two years, and when replanting, try to increase the number of plants by dividing them. (Replanting can also save dying plants.) Kwan-eum bamboo can be propagated by sowing and division, but since sowing takes too long, division is the ideal method. (Do not use cuttings.) The best time to divide is from May to June, and cut the young plants with 4 to 5 leaves near the main stem, wash them in clean water, and plant them in sand or sandy soil. Kwan-eum bamboo is very resistant to pests and diseases, and is a plant suitable for growing indoor plants in urban areas, so we recommend it to beginners. (Recommended for beginners in urban gardening!! Spider mites and scales are rare.) Kwan-eum bamboo can also be grown hydroponically, but it is recommended to remove chlorine from the tap water used at that time as the tips of the leaves can dry out. (Water after leaving it at room temperature for 1-2 days) Be careful as the sap may irritate the skin or mucous membranes when cutting or dividing the leaves or stems. The effect of Guanyin bamboo is that it absorbs ammonia odor that occurs in daily life very well (1st place), and if you place it near the bathroom or in front of the shoe rack, the air will change like a lie. (It is also recommended to periodically grow and manage veranda plants or create a veranda garden) There are various types of Guanyin bamboo such as Namsan gold, Neunghee, Dongyang gold, Seo Hwang gold, Baekcheong jeon, Cheon Man gold, Cheon San Baekho, Daeheuk Cheonho, Jangsu, Donghwa jeon, Pyeonghwa jeon, Dae Nap-eon, Manwol bo, Baekjoho, Baekcheong jeon, Boksu, Eodabok, Yeongsan gold, and Jo Il gold.
