After various events and concerts, the band came to Istanbul in 1993 and, due to the lack of a suitable place for regular work, they turned to associations and unions for a place to work. One of the biggest problems especially encountered by music groups with an oppositional identity, the problem of a place to work, was overcome, albeit with difficulties, at that time. Grup Munzur has been continuing its activities at Yüz Çiçek Açsın Cultural Center since 1994. On July 24, 1994, in order for the people to develop and spread in the fields of culture, art and literature against alienation, degeneration, corruption and reactionism; With the enthusiasm to carry the past to the present and the present to the future, the “let a hundred flowers bloom” slogan, the “Hundred Flowers Open” Cultural Center has been the home of Group Munzur since 1994. Continuing its activities as a unit of the “Hundred Flowers Open” Cultural Center, Group Munzur aims to make the art of the people by living with the people and learning from their pain, joy, longing, hope and rebellion. Despite all the pressures, bans and suppression policies against alternative cultural centers and music groups that do not compromise on their oppositional identities, Group Munzur continues its musical activities with the power it receives from the people. The source that feeds Group Munzur is the life of the people, their pain, happiness, of course their hopes and the cultural heritage they have created for centuries. While using the melodies of the people in its musical productions, it benefits from this cultural heritage as a richness by especially using their languages. Group Munzur is aware of the power of the masses of people within social life, coming from their production and labor, and it makes the folk song of the struggle carried out to make the world equal, free and free of exploitation. Group Munzur uses art as a tool in the struggle to create a more beautiful world. Group Munzur's first album, "Babanın Türküsü/Onların Kavgası", was released when they first came to Istanbul and had a problem with finding a work place. Despite the setbacks brought by these conditions and some shortcomings of being the first album, it is an album that brings together products that are forward-looking. They released their second album, "Hep Birlikte", in September 1995. The album, which represents a counter-stance from the cultural and artistic front of the social opposition that developed against the system, has the characteristics of alternative cultural products against the cultural products that are imposed on the public and corrupt them. Group Munzur met with its audience in 1997 with its third album, "Tutuşturun Geceleri", which was a more concise and meticulous work based on the experiences of the first two albums. It collected products that can be evaluated within a wide framework, from Aşık Veysel to traditional Kurdish and Armenian melodies and its own compositions. In 2000, he released his album called “Expected Far Not”, which was the name of not giving way to any kind of hopelessness and pessimism. In this work, which is mostly based on polyphonic choir and poetry, he created a rich repertoire and a different synthesis with anonymous folk songs as well as folk songs of our folk poets such as Pir Sultan Abdal and Tufani. Addressing his listeners with a new album called “Call for Spring” in 2003, Group Munzur included a repertoire consisting of Turkish, Zazaki, Kurdish and Laz languages and an instrumental work. Continuing his work after the Kızıl Anka album, Group Munzur insistently shouted the slogan of brotherhood of peoples in 2010 with “Haykırış”, where different languages and melodies came together.
