The Ore Mountains are a landscape full of trails. They are the longest and oldest Czech mountain range. At one time, they were also the richest region of the Czech Kingdom. And until World War II, they were even the most inhabited mountains in Europe. Despite all these superlatives, the Ore Mountains are today one of the least known mountain areas. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, the Ore Mountains represent ideal terrain for mountain tourism – trekking and Nordic walking. You will find countless routes here revealing beautiful forests, distinctive architecture, wild river valleys or mountain meadows with breathtaking views that will make you want to come back here again and again. That is why we decided to show you the most beautiful routes that lead through this mysterious mountain range. And since Great Walks means Great Walking Routes, they must last several days.
