Colle delle Acque Rosse is a pass within the Gran Paradiso Park that connects the Cogne Valley and the Soana Valley. The long climb from the Aosta Valley side begins in Lillaz, a hamlet of Cogne, follows part of the Alta Via 2 in the direction of Champorcher and then deviates and climbs the entire beautiful Vallone delle Acque Rosse up to the terminal basin. From here the pass is reached by following faint traces of a path on very steep and friable moraine terrain.
