Gran Canaria, our beautiful Canary Island in the Atlantic Ocean. In my video today I show you the beautiful west coast of the island, we start just after Mogán Pueblo and drive on the GC 200 for a short stop at the restaurant "Smokehouse La Frontera", from there we continue to the rustic restaurant & museum "Las Cañadas" with its turtles etc., before we come to the wonderful blue rocks "Fuente de los Azulejos". There I show you a bit of the area and the colorful natural spectacle of the rocks, the next stops are "La Cactualdea", the "Playa de la Aldea / Aldea Beach", the gigantic viewpoint / Mirador "El Balcón" with a view of the neighboring island of Tenerife and the 3,715 m high Teide. From there we will see the old, now partially closed coastal road, which is currently being reclaimed by nature. At the end of the video we go through the relatively new tunnels towards Agaete, where we watch the Fred Olsen fast ferry (catamaran) departing for Tenerife from above the mountains. I hope you enjoy this video and the information about our favorite island, Gran Canaria. Credits: Photo Presa de Las Niñas: Markus G.
