Hello everyone! Today, I am following up on the video of the assembly of the tracks, where I explained many things to you. In this video, we see the thresher, the tracks, the beak, etc. We find ourselves in the Champagneux plain (73), in the large plots (2 to 15 hectares), then a little later in the video in Avressieux. I will explain a few things about the thresher: in particular the threshing principle which remains the same (if you do not know how the harvester works, watch my video of wheat harvesting here: • Wheat Harvest / Explanations of sectors /...), but the tool in front of the machine is not at all the same, it is a corn picker specifically used to harvest this plant. The beak is equipped with points which enter between the rows of corn to guide the harvest. At the base of each row, there are two rollers that pull the stalk, with a crusher to crush the stalk and pulverize it on the ground. Above are two plates with two chains that collect the ears, then mount them in the machine. I talk about the tracks again in this video, with the daily levels to check every day, the design of the track, etc. I also provide you with two or three explanations on growing corn, but I will come back to this later in the next 2 videos. The yields are very good; around 13 tons / hectare. Given the special season, I will offer you a total of 3 videos on the corn harvest, then a short video with music as usual. In the next video, it will be an explanation of the small plodder (wet grain) then a return to my former supervisor to see the drying of the grain (as every year). The last video will be exclusively threshing with the ETA GUICHERD with additional information from this video.
