'Inside Gyeongin' with 17 million Gyeonggi Incheon residents, together with Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City, a large city in northern Gyeonggi Province with a population of 1.08 million, will look into the current status and challenges of Goyang City. Goyang City is promoting a free economic zone to grow beyond a bed town in Seoul into a competitive city with abundant jobs. There are three 'free economic zones' in Gyeonggi Province that focus on attracting foreign investment, but there are none in northern Gyeonggi Province. In addition to its geographical advantage of being close to Seoul, the GTX and Seohae Subway Line are connected to Goyang, and an expressway connecting Yangjae to Goyang is being promoted, and efforts are being made to connect Line 9 to Goyang, so the improvement in transportation conditions is a major competitive factor in Goyang Free Economic Zone. According to the land use plan for the proposed Goyang Free Economic Zone, the residential ratio is 6.2%.
