Görlitzer Park in Berlin-Kreuzberg is one of the most notorious parks in Germany. Its reputation precedes it - but not a good one. It became known through the media: syringes on the ground, dealers and crime everywhere. In short: a symbol of political failure. But the "Görli" is not only a projection surface for many problems, but also simply a green area, in the middle of Kreuzberg, like many others. And yet it ticks completely differently. Our reporter Valentina Repetto has lived in Görlitzer Park for a very long time. Her relationship to it: ambivalent. For this film, she tries to get to know the Görli again and find out what Berliners think of this park. To do this, she accompanies a park runner at work, she goes to the community dinner of an association that her neighbor founded to help refugees from the park, and she meets a former dealer. Everyone experiences the park from different perspectives. It becomes clear: The Görli is a metropolitan area of very different realities of life.
