We tested the adhesion of the adhesive foam on different materials (metal, aluminum, polystyrene, PVC, plaster, concrete...) and built a brick wall. http://www.bricocrack.tv. DIY Tutorial Construction Adhesives Adhesive foam. The Penosil EasyPega adhesive foam that we use in the video is from Wolf Group Ibérico. Traditionally we have used polyurethane foam for gluing because it has great adhesion, but the drawback is that we could not control its great expansion capacity. The expansion of the new adhesive foam that we are going to show you in this tutorial is controlled and our goal is to show you what materials you can use it on and how it should be applied so that it works effectively. And we are going to do all of this with the EasyPega adhesive foam from Wolf Group Ibérico, which is what Penosil is now called. We start by testing the adhesion of the EasyPega foam on different materials. We have to moisten the surface of the material we are going to glue with water, don't forget because it is the way we activate the adhesive. Juan uses galvanized sheet metal, aluminum, lacquered aluminum, PVC pipe, rubber, glass mosaic, ceramic tile, polystyrene (expanded polystyrene) and plaster. We let the cords rest for a couple of minutes before placing the pieces in place. As you will see in the video, after 5 to 7 minutes, we can no longer rectify the pieces. Because they already have an initial adhesion that allows Juan, for example, to put the board vertically and not fall. Although the foam has enough capacity to support loads after 2 hours, it dries completely after 24 hours. What happens when the materials we glue are heavier? Well, we have tested it by gluing a concrete block to the wall 24 hours before recording the video. You can check what happens yourself ???? You have already seen that each can comes with an EasyGun nozzle, but if you prefer to use your usual foam gun you can do that too. Juan is going to show you how to use the nozzle because it is reusable. To make the operation easier, we use Olivé's R-47 polyurethane foam cleaner. Something very important for the adhesive foam to work effectively is the way you pull the cords. You must always draw them in such a way that the air circulates and the product can cure. And the last application we make with EasyPega foam from Penosil (Wolf Group Ibérico) will surprise you. We build a brick wall. Juan explains how it is done and how to place the cords on the bricks. You have to moisten the bricks before applying the foam and let the product rest for a couple of minutes so that the adhesive activates before placing them, don't forget. And after placing them, we have about 5 minutes to rectify the position. That's why we have plenty of time to check the levels and adjust with the ruler and mallet. As the foam fills as well as glues, we take advantage of this capacity when we place the half bricks. When you have already placed several rows of bricks, you can also put in some vertical foam "nails" to give more consistency to the partition. As soon as we finish the work, we clean the nozzle or gun. That's all the applications we have chosen to show you. We hope you find them very useful! Tell us about it, as always, in the comments of the video, here below.
