Faced with rising temperatures, scientists are wondering about the tolerance threshold of coastal fish to climatic extremes. Teams from the CNRS and IFREMER have looked at the case of the gilthead sea bream in the Mediterranean with the aim of predicting the future presence of this emblematic species in the lagoons around the Mediterranean. Their studies combine both the ecology of movement with a system of acoustic transmitters placed on wild fish, but also studies in captivity to finely determine the impact of temperatures on the physiology of sea bream. #CNRSocean ???? __________________ ????
