On April 17, 2013, in Blagny, a small village in the Ardennes, Anaïs Guillaume's parents were worried. Their 21-year-old daughter had not come home all night. Usually, when she sleeps out, she systematically warns them. The last person to have seen the missing woman was her boss: Philippe Gillet, 40, a farmer with whom she had fallen madly in love. The man, a widower and father of two children, admitted that the young woman had slept at his place but that she had left in the middle of the night. Philippe Gillet would therefore have nothing to reproach himself for. However, as the investigation progressed, disturbing elements suggested that he may not have told the whole truth. Anaïs' car was found burnt out a few kilometers from the farmer's farm. And, more damningly, the farmer had bought 50 kilos of lime just two days before his girlfriend disappeared. How to get rid of a body without leaving any traces. But that's not all. Investigators discover that a year earlier, the farmer's first partner was crushed to death by one of his cows, a very rare accident. What if it was actually a covered-up murder?
