Gibraltar, the English peninsula in the south of Spain, is a dream destination for us. We find a parking space in the marina in front of Gibraltar with our motorhome. From here it is a short path to the Spanish/English border. We first ride our bikes along the tunnel under the airport and enjoy the cozy atmosphere at Casemates Square. We continue along Main Street. And in addition to the many shops and cafes, you can also buy some things here with tax benefits. We then cycle to the Point of Europe, the southernmost point of Gibraltar with a beautiful view of the Strait of Gibraltar. We then cycle around the entire rock before returning to our motorhome parking space. On the second day we cross the Spanish-English border early and this time we want to cycle up to the rock and explore the nature reserve. A very steep path leads up, but we are independent and can enjoy the skywalk and the beautiful view before the holiday crowds arrive by gondola or coach. We also have a lot of fun watching the cute Barbary macaques and of course we also go over the suspension bridge. This trip was a great experience. La Línea de la Concepción is the Spanish town where the marina is located. There are also a few nice things to discover here. A small town center with many restaurants and cafés where Spanish joie de vivre prevails. The market also has a large selection of fresh food. Overall, we can highly recommend the trip to Gibraltar with the motorhome.
