About :

The cover of this video is deliberately provocative. Are you a parent exhausted by endless sleepless nights and are you looking for the INFALLIBLE METHOD to MAKE your BABY SLEEP ALL NIGHT LONG? I understand you very well! But the bitter truth, which you will not like to hear, is that AN infallible METHOD DOES NOT EXIST! Children's sleep is different from ours, consequently expecting them to sleep all night from when they are 5-6 months old, without waking up, is something utopian. We need to have realistic expectations about the sleep of the little ones, and often this realism is lacking. We rely on methods X, Y, Z, to make children sleep the way we would like, while in reality it would be much more sensible and respectful for them to understand how their sleep works and work to facilitate it, without going against the specific physiology of this age phase. In this video I touch on the physiology of sleep (to give you a general idea of the key concepts) but if you want to delve deeper into the topic there are many texts where you can learn more. I leave you some very valid references below: INSTAGRAM profile of ALMADOLCENANNA (childcare provider, sleep consultant and mother of 3 children): https://www.instagram.com/alma_dolcen... Research on the importance of going to bed early: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science... Recommended sleep based on age group: https://www.sleephealthjournal.org/ar... I'll also update you on Samuele's sleep (since I shot this video about three weeks ago). The bedtime in the bedroom is going well as I described in the video. We had 2 more difficult nights that coincided with Samuele's first steps (so with a growth spurt). During these two nights we had to intervene in his awakenings (2-3 times) to calm him down and put him back to sleep, but by the third night everything was calm again. Bedtime 8:30-9:00 PM, waking up 6:00-6:30 AM with independent management of awakenings. So for now everything is going well but, as I also said in the video, we are ready to face new changes! His sleep will continue to change and evolve until he is 3 years old; until then, let's try to be careful observers and make it as easy as possible. I really hope that this story can be useful to some of you. Parents with children who have difficulty sleeping... resist! There is always a way to improve the situation! It takes a lot of work on our part (especially when the child lacks the innate predisposition to sleep well) but we can do it! My INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/tatisthings...
