SPIEGEL TV Classics 2009: Millions of vehicles in Turkey are in a deplorable technical state. That is about to change. By 2013, the safety standards of Turkish cars are to be at European level. To achieve this, Ankara is counting on German help. On behalf of the Turkish Ministry of Transport, TÜV Süd has opened 189 inspection stations in Turkey.
