On a whim, let's measure the operating temperatures of the geothermal system in the record freezing winter of 2024. The pump is an Oilon Junior Eco 13kw. Geothermal heat has been used in the property since 1984. The original pump was an Energia-Pekka 13kw, which I removed in working order in 2013. In its place, I installed an approximately 9kW Lämpö-ässe/Taloterm pump, which was also new and from 1984, but it had been standing in a cold wooden container for 29 years never disconnected. The shells are cracked and a dead mouse inside, and the heat exchanger of the heating circuit was sometimes broken, but it lasted until 2019, when I replaced it with an Oilon basic pump.
