This is a geological survey of the Hantangang River, a tributary of the Imjin River, which has been certified as the Hantangang National Geopark and the Hantangang World Geopark. It is a place where you can see the mysteriousness of basalt lava plateaus, pillow lava, and vertical columnar joints. The main subject is basalt that erupted 300,000 years ago. It is believed that the main cause of the wind hole near Dongmak-ri in Jeongok is that the air flowing in from the weathered residue of tuff expanded adiabatically, causing ice to form even in the summer.
