This exhibition is a picturesque song about the "extreme north" of the Tver region - Vesyegonsk district. It was here that the artist Gennady Ugryumov was born (in 1958) and raised. He left his small homeland for a long time only in 1979-1983, during his studies at the Kalinin Art School named after A.G. Venetsianov. The artist always paints from life, immersing himself in a specific atmosphere - joyful and ringing or quiet, gentle, sometimes melancholic. In the studio, the author almost never finishes the sketches painted in situ: the artist is more interested in the state conveyed in a sketch than the "worked out" picture form. Gennady Gennadievich Ugryumov has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 2001. Participant of art exhibitions - interregional, regional, city - since the early 1980s. His awards include a letter of gratitude from the Governor (2019), a certificate of honor from the Department of Culture of the Tver Region (2009), and a diploma and gratitude from the Union of Artists of Russia (2014, 2018). Laureate of the Tver Region Governor's Prize in Culture and Art for 2019 in the nomination "For Works of Fine Art". GENNADY UGRYUMOV.
