Mongolia, a country where emotions bloom! We start our journey in the most bustling city and capital, Ulaanbaatar (Улаанбаатар). In Ulaanbaatar, we stopped by Morning Street (Өглөөний гудамж) next to Sukhbaatar Square. Couples in wedding dresses and formal attire are busy taking wedding photos in the alleys lined with European-style buildings. We experience the changing Mongolian lifestyle with a cup of fragrant coffee. The first destination of our full-fledged trip is Ovs, Mongolia’s most nomadic tradition and beautiful nature. While heading to Ovs in the northwest, we come across the Nomadic World Cultural Festival (Нүүдэлчин дэлхийн соёлын наадм), which introduces Mongolia’s diverse nomadic culture. Here, the traditional dance of Western Mongolia, Biyelge (bīi bielgēэ), and the traditional costume of Ovs, Del (dээl), heighten the anticipation for the journey. After driving for two days on a dirt road of about 1,400 km, we arrived at Ovs (увс аймаг). Famous for its pure white rocks and blue waters, Lake Khyarags welcomes travelers. Listening to the sounds of the water and birds of Lake Khyarags (Хяргас нуур), which is past its peak season, washes away the fatigue of the long journey. The next destination is Ulaangom (улаангом), the capital of Ovs! There, we attend the 'Ger Covering Day (гэр бүрэх ёс)' feast, which is held only in Ovs. The event of building a new ger for a son who has reached the age of marriage is as important an event in the lives of nomads as a wedding. There were about 600 attendees, and the gifts coming in were dozens of livestock, such as horses, sheep, and cows, as befitting nomads. As we watched the gers being built with the sincere hands of each guest, we gave our heartfelt support to the nomads who are starting anew. On the way to Altangels (Алтан элс), a hidden gem in Ops that boasts a unique landscape where the desert and the oasis come together. There was no road, so we arrived just in time for sunset. It was dark and the weather was bad, so we looked for a place to stay the next day, and we found the ger. We asked for an overnight stay due to our sudden visit, and the nomad couple readily accepted and even treated us to food. We spent a warm night in the ger. The next day, we met Altangels again. We returned to our childhood and had a great time amidst the overwhelming scenery created by the steep sand slope. #WorldThemeTravel#WhenAutumnComes#EmotionalMongolia#Ops#Ulaanbaatar#MorningStreet#NomadicFestival#HyagasLake#YoungManReceivingOpsNewGer#Altangels
