Which could well be understood as a game between the clay and its sculptor: observe, mould, build and deconstruct. In this video, the neuroscientist reveals some of her greatest challenges, and probably one of the enigmas of our time: understanding how just “one kilo and a bit” makes us different from any other living being on the planet. Her work 'The Mirror of the Brain' reflects the results of meditation practice that show the brain changes that occur when we have a contemplative, kind and conscious attitude. Conclusions that she reaches through her scientific experience in laboratories, and her continuous search for knowledge in interconnected areas such as medicine, philosophy and spirituality. Castellanos is a theoretical physicist and has a PhD in Neuroscience from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She studies the brain-body relationship, the neural mechanisms involved in attention, emotional regulation and the practice of meditation, as well as the influence of physical exercise on the intestinal microbiota. For several years he has been leading the research of the Nirakara laboratory and the Extraordinary Chair of Mindfulness and Cognitive Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid, and combines his research work with scientific dissemination by creating spaces for dialogue between East and West, to promote the union between the scientific community and the spiritual environment. #Let'sLearnTogether
