JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka were inaugurated as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period on Sunday (20/10/2024), at the MPR/DPR Building, Jakarta. Prabowo Subianto delivered his inaugural speech as the elected President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period. In his speech, Prabowo welcomed the figures, party chairmen and figures from other countries who attended the President's inauguration. In addition, Prabowo said that he had taken an oath to implement the constitution and serve the state and nation. Prabowo also promised to carry out the oath for the nation and country. "We will prioritize the interests of the Indonesian nation and state even though they did not vote for us," said Prabowo in his inaugural speech, Sunday (20/10/2024). Therefore, Prabowo also invited us to become a nation that is not afraid of obstacles and challenges. Prabowo also emphasized that the sacrifice and independence of the Indonesian nation should not be in vain. The inauguration marks the beginning of a new government with various priority programs, including strengthening national defense, economic equality, and environmental preservation.
