Those who were selected to become KPK leaders are Komjen Pol Setyo Budiyanto (police/Inspector General of the Ministry of Agriculture), Johanis Tanak (current KPK Commissioner), Fitroh Rohcahyanto (prosecutor who was once the Director of Prosecution at the KPK), Agus Joko Pramono (former Deputy Chairman of the BPK), and Ibnu Basuki Widodo (judge at the Manado High Court). However, the backgrounds of these KPK leaders have been highlighted, to the point that pessimism has emerged that the KPK can eradicate corruption after the composition of the KPK leadership came from law enforcement officers from other institutions. Researcher at the UGM Anti-Corruption Study Center (Pukat UGM) Zaenur Rohman assessed that the new KPK leaders must resign from their original institutions, in order to avoid conflicts of interest. This is also so that the KPK leaders can go all out in working. According to Zaenur, the KPK leaders have a lot of homework for the next 5 years.
