The Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line has a long name, but its origins lie in the Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line (Kyobashi - Tsurumi Ryokuchi), which opened in 1990 as Japan's first iron wheel linear motor subway. When it was extended to Shinsaibashi in 1996, it began passing through Nagahori-dori in the city center, and became the Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line. Unlike its younger "iron wheel linear" descendant, the Imazatosuji Line, it has the advantage of penetrating the city center, and it is in a favorable situation, such as running special services to accommodate live events at Kyocera Dome Osaka... but it remains a loss-making line. As a latecomer to the subway, the platforms are often located deep (especially in the city center), and even though there are many stations where you can transfer, the platforms are often far apart, so it is a little questionable whether it is a line that can be actively used. Also, in contrast to the cost-cutting approach of the Imazatosuji Line, they seem to be doing things that will increase costs, such as changing the design for each station, putting effort into the station melodies, and even putting in original departure signs (although I personally don't dislike them, as they could be seen as Osaka Metro's "avant-garde, individualistic" presence). Speaking of which, the recent news that they would be giving up the land in Tsurumachi (Taisho Ward) that had been reserved for a garage got Osaka Metro fans excited, asking, "Are they really giving up on the extension between Taisho and Tsurumachi?" The truth of this is unclear, but judging from the fact that there are many buses leaving the Taishobashi bus stop in the direction of Tsurumachi, it seems that they are still holding out on the extension. ★Shortcuts (transfer stations to other lines)★ 0:00 departure announcement0:13 Kadoma Minami → Gamo 4-Chome (Osaka Metro Imazatosuji Line) 9:35 Gamo 4-Chome → Kyobashi (Keihan, JR Osaka Loop Line & Gakkentoshi Line) 12:23 Kyobashi → Morinomiya (Osaka Metro Chuo Line, JR Osaka Loop Line) 16:13 Morinomiya → Tamatsukuri (JR Osaka Loop Line) 18:21 Tamatsukuri → Tanimachi 6-Chome (Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line) 20:31 Tanimachi 6-Chome → Nagahoribashi (Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line) 23:28 Nagahoribashi → Shinsaibashi (Osaka Metro Midosuji Line & Yotsubashi Line) 25:17 Shinsaibashi → Nishinagahori (Osaka Metro Sennichimae Line) 28:26 Nishinagahori → Dome-mae Chiyozaki (Hanshin Namba Line) 30:34 Dome-mae Chiyozaki → Taisho (JR Osaka Loop Line) ◇Shooting date: April 1, 2020◎Please "subscribe" to the channel from this URL ↓♪ / @Tetsudan Video ★SNS (Please follow us) Twitter→ / tetsudanlive Facebook Page→ / tetsudanlive Instagram→ / tetsudanlive note→ https://note.com/tetsudan #OsakaMetro #NagahoriTsurumiRyokuchiLine #FrontView
