The DVD Daqui do Alto is a musical documentary that seeks to value and prove the importance of projects such as Meninas de Sinhá, where women in situations of social vulnerability find for themselves an enriching goal of inestimable importance for its members, who have been demonstrably transformed by this sociocultural attitude, formed by Valdete Cordeiro. Examples of how art can transform people's lives, the 30 girl-women, with an average age of 70 years old, present their first DVD with outdoor scenes recorded in strategic locations that portray the diversity and the rural and urban characteristics of the group and also pay homage to people who, as Dona Valdete said, helped her form Meninas de Sinhá, such as Roque Soares, Gil Amâncio and Vera Miriam. The group, in the middle of the final filming of the DVD, lost Dona Valdete Cordeiro and after a few months, paid tribute to her in a theater and successfully finished recording the songs chosen by the group, carefully chosen by the group, which highlight their memories and activities during their 17 years of existence. “These are songs and testimonies that marked our creation”, stated Dona Valdete Cordeiro (07/09/1938 – 14/01/2014), founder of the group. “Many people helped me form this group and they are also being honored. We made a point of recording in Alto Vera Cruz, because it was here that it all began and the community loves Meninas de Sinhá.” Technical Details: Concept and coordination – Valdete Cordeiro Project management – Patrícia Lacerda Musical direction – Carlinhos Ferreira Audiovisual production – Caturra Digital Stage direction – Raquel Alvarez Photography direction – José Francisco Duarte Sound direction and recording – Márcio Brant and Felipe Fantoni Sound and audio recording – Natrilha Produções Music editing – Flora Guerra, Carlinhos Ferreira and Luiz Peixoto Final editing, mixing and mastering – LP Estúdio Financial administration – Maria Helena Batista and Ricardo Catão Production assistant – Ormando P.
