From Hope to Fiasco: My €1500 Camper Project Goes Totally Wrong! In this video I give a short summary of our project Gerrit and explain what we plan to do next. I enthusiastically bought a Volkswagen LT camper for only €1500,-. What seemed like a bargain quickly turned into a source of stress and unexpected challenges. The camper, which I saw as a fixer-upper, turned out to be a much bigger job than I thought. The camper is rotten in several places, in addition there are some unexpected costs that caused disappointment and frustration. and a huge restoration project The romantic 'vanlife' life that I had in mind turned out to be anything but idyllic. Instead of carefree traveling, I am now constantly busy with repairs and budgetary restrictions. My cheap camper became a source of holiday stress instead of relaxation. Still, I remain hopeful. Despite all the setbacks, I keep tinkering, learning and dreaming of adventurous travels with my refurbished camper. Because sometimes the biggest challenges are also the most valuable lessons.
