Please read Please excuse the music - otherwise the video will be blocked :( This video is NOT intended to be an instruction manual on how to train a young horse. It is simply intended to show our path and the development of Beautiful Boy. Lara and I are not professionals or professional riders. We already had some experience of training (difficult) horses through our older horse “Quenno du Breuil”. With Boy, we did a lot of things based on how we felt and how he offered them to us. Because we had accompanied him from a young age, many things simply happened naturally over time and in everyday life. When it came to breaking him in, we naturally always had professional help on hand. Please inform yourself in detail about this topic if you are considering training a foal or young horse yourself and be sure to get help. We are aware that other horses of this age can already do more. However, we never were able to use these "guidelines" as a guideline, as Beautiful Boy was and still is a late bloomer physically. Not to mention the forced breaks due to injuries (microchip operation, chronic hives, etc.). Even though he has a great dressage lineage, sport is never our main focus. We are very happy to have such a great all-rounder, but when the time is right we will definitely introduce him to sport more. His talent for jumping and cross-country riding will certainly not be neglected. We will see where the road takes us. Beautiful Boy will definitely always be allowed to set the pace and the path, as he has done up to now.
