What does a hi-fi dealer actually do all day? Listen to music and drink coffee? That would be nice... Sometimes he does that. But most of the time he sits in front of his hi-fi systems and practices troubleshooting, optimising the sound and getting a feel for the many different devices. I show you what it looks like in practice in this video. Troubleshooting a system with great devices that didn't sound great at first. The system was actually supposed to be used to test a new loudspeaker. To do this you need (in addition to the loudspeaker) various amplifiers or power amplifiers and source devices that are as good as possible. Because if the sound isn't ideal, you have to be sure that the source devices aren't the cause. This system therefore consists of individual devices, some of which are a bit too good (= too expensive).
