(collaboration) --- While preparing this video, I embarked on an interesting journey from 1925 to the present. I discovered how people imagined the future over a period of two centuries. I both laughed and thought during this process. For example, Prof. Low's story is like a movie script... The poor guy invents the television, the Germans are after him, he escapes assassinations, and at the same time, he predicts the present as if he were seeing it in a crystal ball. While I was looking through old newspaper archives during the preparation phase of the video, I came across the story of 16-year-old Ella. In 1925, she was chosen as the queen of a beauty contest and was given an interesting gift: a sealed film to be opened in 100 years. In other words, it is a time capsule that needs to be opened this year... This coincidence excited me so much that I immediately started researching. As you watch the video, you will notice that in this journey from the past to the future, there are not only technological predictions, but also people's hopes, fears and dreams. We see an interesting change from the naive optimism of the 1920s to today's more cautious perspective. Perhaps my most important discovery at the end of this journey was this: Predicting the future is actually a bit like looking in a mirror. People from every period reflect their own hopes, fears and dreams into the future.
