Freedom is one of the questions in philosophy that go beyond philosophy, because the possibility of freedom is a constant element of the daily experience of every human being. Freedom appears before us in three fundamental dimensions in different periods of the history of philosophy: as an ethical, political and metaphysical question. The interconnectedness of these three dimensions is obvious. Therefore, separating them has only a certain historical and methodological validity. In this third talk titled “Freedom as an Ethical and Political Question II”, thinkers such as Marx, Sartre, Foucault, Nancy and Rawls will be discussed. Ahmet Soysal: Born in Istanbul in 1957.
