He entered the musical career as a drummer and was even among the founding members of Olympik. But then he began to assert himself more and more as a lyricist and bandleader. He founded several groups, with his František Ringo Čecha Group experiencing the most famous era during his collaboration with Jiří Schellinger. With it, he also recorded the first ever hard rock album in Czechoslovakia, the album Hrr na ne. However, in On Air, the Czech also talked about the less than two years at the end of the sixties, when he lived in the USA, and also about why he did not stay in emigration. However, the talk also came to his cooperation with, for example, Viktor Sodoma and, of course, the Prague selection, for which he wrote the lyrics for a substantial part of the absolutely essential album Straka v hrsti.
