It is a process that shows how living beings are connected by what they eat. We can classify food chains according to the habitats in which the living beings in them obtain their food. The living beings in these habitats form food chains, which is why we say that there are two types: terrestrial food chains and aquatic food chains. On the one hand, we have green food chains, also called grazing food chains. The first link is a producer that is alive and usually makes its own food through photosynthesis. On the other hand, we have detritus (brown) food chains. They are so called because they do not start with living plants, but with dead things.
