She is truly one of our female voices that has not found the necessary place in the media despite all her talent, her inquisitive, curious and determined personality, her impressive voice structure and her flawless interpretation of Aegean and Island Folk Songs. Makbule was born in 1959 in Milas, Muğla. She spent her childhood and youth in a family environment full of music; in an environment where lullabies, Aegean and Island folk songs, and Rembetiko were said to be played. She graduated from Ege University, Department of English Language and Literature. Makbule Kaya is a female voice that has won first place in many Folk Music competitions in our country. She became a TRT Artist in 1981. She was a guest on over ten thousand radios and around 500 television programs and gave around 2000 solo concerts. The images you watch are taken from the Yediveren program, which was broadcast between January 2009 and June 2011, produced and directed by Lale Çamurcu and Nevzat Üçyıldız, with tonemasters Murat Saltık and Murat Ekmekçi, orchestra sound tonemaster Tansel Doğan, and edited by Fatma Uygun and Özlem Aktan.
