A strong 5-b low brought unusually high amounts of precipitation for the time of year, totaling well over 100mm, most of which fell on April 14th. That means almost twice the average amount of precipitation for April in just 24 hours. At the same time, a thin layer of snow was even able to form. From the afternoon and evening of April 14th, the melting snow and heavy rain led to local flooding and blockages in small channels.
