The Flavor Journey with Turgay Başyayla is coming to introduce you to the unique flavors of our country that are centuries old; by visiting each city, district, and village. In the Flavor Journey, Turgay Başyayla will introduce you to his artistic personality accompanied by his folk songs, and sometimes our chefs will bring the flavors of the region to restaurants specific to the region, and sometimes our grandmothers and aunts, kneaded with the wisdom of the Anatolian people, will blow a gust of flavor with authentic recipes that resemble a visual feast. The stop of the “Flavor Journey with Turgay Başyayla” is Bolu. Turgay Başyayla goes to Yukarı Dereceören village and celebrates Eid with the villagers. An animal is sacrificed for Eid and “Kavurma” is made. The making of the regional “Deli Bakla Soup”, “Kaşık Atma”, and “Kıymalı Altüstü Böreği” with the village ladies is demonstrated. As winter preparations, the making of yufka, the making of canned tomatoes and the making of chocolate specific to Bolu are demonstrated. In Bolu Mengen, Turgay Başyayla shows the making of “Mengen Kebab”, “Mengen Pilaf” and “Keşkül” specific to Mengen, and the making of “Kuşu Döşü Dolması” specific to Gerede.
