IMPROVE THE REST OF YOUR LIFE Ustadz Ammi Nur Baits حفظهُ الله تعالى ????️ Saturday, May 4, 2024 ???? MT Al Ahda, Dalitan, Pucung Rejo بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم Improve the rest of our life so that we die in a husnul khatimah condition because we do not know when someone will die. The definition of the rest of life is the life that we are currently living, so we should improve ourselves now. It is narrated in the book al-Hilyah, that Imam Fudhail bin Iyadh – a great scholar during the Tabi' Tabiin era – (d. 187 H) once met an old man. "How old are you?" asked Fudhail. “60 years.”, answered the person. "You have been walking towards your God for 60 years, and soon you will arrive." Fudhail's comment "Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi raji'un." The person was surprised. “Do you understand the meaning of that sentence? Do you understand the interpretation?” Fudhail asked. "Please explain the interpretation?" The person asked back. “You stated: innaa lillaah (we belong to Allah), meaning we are servants of Allah and we will return to Allah. Whoever believes that he is a servant of Allah and that he will return to Him, he should realize that he will stand before Allah. And whoever believes this, he must realize that he will be questioned. And whoever is sure of this, he must prepare an answer.” Fudhail explained. "Then what's the way out?" asked the person. “It's easy.” Fudhail emphasized. Then Imam Fudhail mentioned a theory of repentance, which is worthy of being recorded in gold ink, وَمَا بَقِيَ , فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ أَسَأْتَ فِيمَا بَقِيَ أُخِذْتَ بِمَا مَضَى وَمَا بَقِيَ Do good in the remainder of your life, with that your past and future sins will be forgiven. Because if you are still diligent in disobedience in the remainder of your life then you will be punished for your past sins and your future sins. (Hilyah Al Awliya', 8/113). Meaning: Every soul will taste death. Then to Us you will be returned. So we are obliged to worship only Allah alone, as is the purpose for which we were created in this world, so we must not commit shirk by turning our worship (prayers, sacrifices, supplications) to other than Allah. When we die, we will be asked in the realm of barzakh, namely about who your Rabb is, who your Prophet is and what your religion is. These answers are not enough to be memorized while living in the world but must be studied, understood and put into practice while still living in the world, namely purifying monotheism, adhering to the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and remaining steadfast in Islam until the end of life. wallahu'alam Youtube: • Improve the Rest of Your Life Ustadz Am...
