Hello everyone ???? without suspecting anything, I was sorting through my fishing gear and found a couple of watermelon-shaped feeders, and the thought immediately came to mind: "Why not have a battle between a flat and a watermelon?" The battle took place in two stages. In this report, I will tell you about the first fishing trip, which took place on a small paid lake. Upon arrival, I mixed in some PM Baits strawberries from Minenko, put monofilament leaders with number 12 hooks. I put small pop-ups on the pins. The bites did not take long to come. Crucian carp, one after another, pecked at the flat. This state of affairs did not suit me at all, because I had a clear task in front of me, to catch carp or crucian carp on a watermelon. By the way, at the very beginning of fishing, there was a powerful locomotive for a watermelon, but I did not calculate my strength and tore the monofilament leader with a hook. During the day I came up with my own version of the ideal and fish-safe watermelon. By putting a cone with carp rigging, I reduced the entanglement of the leash to a minimum. With such a bundle, it happened that generations happened almost instantly. The only thing I didn’t like about the watermelon was the bait, which almost always remains in the center of the feeder, and until I put a silicone cone, there were problems with tangling of the leash. Overall, I’m happy with the result, all the carp were caught on the flat, but the largest crucian carp were caught on the watermelon. On the carp theme, the watermelon didn’t work out completely, but for catching crucian carp, it’s a pretty good rigging.
