In a new episode of Anglerboard TV, Jesco Peschutter is travelling in central Norway with Oliver Schulte. The two enthusiastic sea anglers are visiting the island of Linesøya in the tranquil Åfjord municipality and want to fish in a very virgin area there. They hope to catch one or two big fish. Jesco and Oliver are staying in a wonderful Norway holiday home run by the tour operator Ferienhäuser Boch. Sebastian Boch is also on board this time, and he has this and many other fish-rich areas in his programme. The three anglers want to catch various target fish in the middle of Norway. Linesøya is located just above Trondheim and offers a wide range of saltwater fish for sea fishing. With the well-equipped Øien boat including depth sounder & chart plotter with 50 hp engine, they head out to the hotspots. This fishing area is characterised by short distances and the first fishing grounds are quickly reached after leaving the harbour. Pollack fishing with rubber fish in natural and bright colors on lead heads quickly brings the first catches on board with light equipment on underwater mountains. Be there when the live bites are captured on camera. Cod also keep biting on the guided bait for the kitchen. Halibut fishing in Norway is also fun, so now it's time to go after the huge flatfish. After just five minutes, Sebastian fights the first flounder, which took a small pollock on the system. Then Oliver catches a strong sea fish while fishing for halibut with rubber fish. Another XXL plate? Yes! Then Jesco catches a cod while halibut fishing in Norway using a whole pollock as bait. Oliver catches another cod on a rubber bait and then a monster fish destroys his large artificial bait. When fishing for redfish in the depths, Sebastian catches a huge tusk on natural bait on the paternoster. Then porpoises appear next to the fishing boat. The redfish still work too. At a depth of just 120 meters, Oliver catches a great redfish on a scrap of pollock. Jesco is also able to catch a redfish relatively shallowly, where there are more bites on the rods. At the beginning of August, the three anglers experience incredible fishing in Åfjord. The great thing is that the redfish can be caught on steep edges at a shallow depth. So you don't need an electric reel like you do with deep-sea fishing. Just quickly fillet the redfish and then Jesco wants to prepare the fillets in the holiday home in Norway and fry them in the pan with salt, pepper and char. On the next fishing day of the holiday, Oliver fishes for mackerel using an old spoon as bait. He gets a live bite and catches one beautiful mackerel after the other in super sizes. There are also underwater pictures of the fish during the fight. After the first few days of fishing in Norway, everyone wants to catch a big cod. In the holiday apartment in Norway, everyone explains the tactics for the next trip and gives cod fishing tips on jigging etc. When the weather improves, they want to head to the offshore plateaus and underwater mountains with bait fish - hot spots that drop steeply to 300 to 400 meters and are supposed to bring cod or coalfish. Jesco wants to try using whole pollock on the system as bait for the big fish, while Sebastian relies on large rubber fish, which are always good for larger cod. Oliver fishes classic jigs and his own soft bait, which he developed when casting rubber fish himself. Accompanied by drone footage, the Norway anglers start early. Jesco's fish is taken by a better fish in the middle of the bait fish. He catches a huge cod weighing 13 kg on a whole bait fish. Sebastian follows up with large rubber and brings another great cod into the boat with a relatively light rod. On the penultimate day of the fishing trip, the wind picks up. That's why everyone fishes close to the facility with flounder spoons and fish scraps for flatfish such as plaice and turbot. These don't bite, but ling catches a scrap of mackerel and then a nice dab at a depth of 40 meters. Sebastian also catches a ling on a small whole pollock. Right in front of the facility, Jesco catches a huge flounder on the flatfish rig. A successful fishing holiday.
