Maenishi Yoshihiro, a legend of Osaka Bay's float fishing, catches black porgy in the early spawning season at the rocks of Yuasa, Wakayama Prefecture. The rocks he visits are Karimojima, which has good tidal flow. The strategy is to create a spot around the protruding roots and wait for the migrating black porgy. In the harsh conditions where even the bait-eaters are not in sight, he catches the momentary current of the tide and catches the targeted black porgy one after another.
