Preparations are in the final stages for the aircraft to begin operation next fiscal year. The new aircraft, which will be used to transport VIPs such as the Prime Minister and members of the Imperial Family, is based on Boeing's 777-300ER. It is almost the same size in both length and width as the current aircraft, the company's 747-400.
