Now, on the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year holidays, the Mutiara Timur train is finally running two trains. The second Mutiara Timur train departs in the morning from Banyuwangi and at night from Surabaya. The second Mutiara Timur train has the same class but different types. The Executive train uses the 48-seat Executive train, and the Economy train uses the Ministry of Transportation's Economy train facing each other. This can be because the second Mutiara Timur train is still utilizing the remaining reserve trains.
