This is the Ferrari Purosangue! It’s Ferrari’s first SUV (though it’s not officially called an SUV) and Mat is out to find out if it can take on class-leading SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX and Bentley Bentayga! In terms of design, this one is quite the presence. The slim daytime running lights at the front are separate from the headlights and there are some proper air vents. There are even more vents around the sides and we think the side profile makes the Purosangue look more like a long hatchback than a proper SUV! The rear is a bit more involved, with even more vents and a gorgeous quad exhaust setup. Once inside the Purosangue, you’re in a very nice place. There’s a huge digital instrument screen for the driver and a separate screen for the passenger. The digital instrument screen acts as the driver’s infotainment screen, although the fact that it uses touch-sensitive buttons is a bit annoying. The minimalist design of the buttons on the centre console is a nice touch, while rear passengers get the same contoured sports seats as the front. There’s only one engine to choose from, but it’s a brilliant one – a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 producing 725bhp and 716Nm of torque! What’s more, it’s the only SUV in the world to come with a V12 as standard! But of course, it’s a Ferrari, so it doesn’t come cheap. The starting price is £313,000, but our review car (with loads of extras) costs £430,000! So is it worth it? Join Mat and find out for yourself!
