Ferrari has been exercising a very authoritarian treatment towards its customers for years. So much so that there are several cases in which Ferrari has taken certain buyers to court. But to understand why Ferrari takes such actions, you have to understand a simple concept of the capitalist market: that of supply and demand. Ferrari, despite having produced 11,115 vehicles in 2021, knows very well that it has more buyers interested in acquiring one of its vehicles than units to sell. The brand then needs to maintain that unattainable image that it holds, in order to differentiate itself from the rest of the brands, and to make a good name for itself. The brand's strategy to achieve this is based on leaving the most 'common' vehicles, so to speak, that is, those with the largest number of units produced, relatively free for purchase, and saving the special editions and vehicles limited to a small number of units for the best customers. The most exclusive models will only be sold to those with the most select collections of the brand.
