In August 2024 we walked around the sunny island of Fehmarn for the third time. About 70 km of coastal paths lay ahead of us. Since the cycle paths up here are full in the summer months, we decided to start in the evening again this time. And so we headed clockwise (at first very windy and mixed) into a brilliant sunset. The headlamps didn't have to be brought out until very late and we didn't take our first break until after 32 km. The tiredness at night and the low temperatures brought us to our lowest point at the Klausdorf campsite. After it slowly got light a short time later, however, the mood rose again. Around the Staberhuk we were rewarded with a wonderful sunrise and warmer temperatures. After about 14 hours we had covered the distance and seen Fehmarn from its most beautiful side again.
