FDP Vice-President Wolfgang Kubicki does not mince his words and does not shy away from any discussion. The lawyer has been Vice-President of the German Bundestag since 2017. He joined the FDP in 1971 and is running his 40th election campaign for the Liberals this year. Two to three appointments a day and events across the country are intended to help the FDP over the five percent hurdle. Kubicki: "I have not lost an election since 1990, when I was responsible. This will not be my first either." He is self-critical of the traffic light coalition: "Of the 49 points of the economic boom that we negotiated in 80 hours, not a single measure has been implemented." The reason is the lack of draft laws from the leading ministries, which also include Habeck's Ministry of Economic Affairs.
