???? What will you learn in podcast #33? ???? The last episode of the podcast series dedicated to macronutrients belongs to fats. In our diet, fats are irreplaceable, especially essential fatty acids. The processed food industry, the current way of raising farm animals and the eating habits of Western civilization have caused a long-term imbalance between individual groups of fatty acids (and therefore all nutrients). Diets based on strict restriction of fats, but also their excess, have an adverse effect on our health. So how to include fats in the diet? What mistakes do we often make? Is it enough to simply divide into healthy and unhealthy fats? Other factors are certainly decisive. It will be much more important to understand the basic principles of how to approach the selection of fats in terms of quality and fatty acid content, the intensity of physical activities during the day and the metabolic setting of the given individual, and last but not least, the identification of suitable foods and a pinch of culinary invention. And we tried to shed light on all this in this interview with Jakub Přbyl, a nutritionist and Trime product developer. 0:00 Introduction 3:35 Including fats in the menu - composition of the plate vs. quality 10:19 What about fats in children? 12:20 Carbohydrates vs. fats 13:05 The effect of industrial processing on the quality of fats 18:52 How to put together a balanced breakfast with regard to energy expenditure? 20:16 Specific examples of breakfast ???????? ???? ???? 26:25 The importance of fat in the diet 30:20 How to balance the ratio of carbohydrates vs. fats 31:18 Fats and cholesterol 32:55 Where we go wrong - average nutritional profile with respect to fat composition 34:42 Quality - more suitable fat sources, conventional breeding vs. traditional animal husbandry 39:22 Plant sources of fats - risks 43:00 Seasonality - effect on the quality of the nutritional profile of the profile 46:23 Choosing high-quality foods eliminates a number of problems 47:37 Cultural differences in fat intake, resp. of all food components 53:00 Is any group of fats harmful? 58:43 Development of trends and different views on fats ????
