From 13:00 on 15 April to 05:00 on 16 April 2023, rail traffic on the Milan - Venice line was suspended between the Verona Porta Nuova and Vicenza stations for infrastructure upgrade works. For this reason, Trenitalia regional trains were limited to Vicenza where a bus service to Verona was set up. Frecciarossa and Italo trains were diverted via Padova-Ferrara-Bologna Belt and AV Bologna-Milan, while others followed the route via Padova-Ferrara-Bologna Centrale (change desk)-Verona. SBB CFF FFS Eurocity trains were limited in the Lombard capital while ÖBB's from Munich to Venice was diverted via Verona-Bologna (change of desk)-Ferrara-Padua. Finally, as regards freight trains, they followed the route via Padua-Ferrara-Bologna Belt-Lavino-Modena-Piacenza.
